Today is my brother's birthday.  I thought it might be a nice time to share a story of our childhood.  Many come to mind, but I will just share one this time.

I can remember when we were younger, I had a wreck a few miles from home.  When he heard about this he was the first one there.  As I cried, because I was scared and mad that I hurt my car, he held me and let me cry.

Brothers are great, even when you want to sell them to the highest bidder.

Happy Birthday Jeremy!

I love you!!

Today has been the day for firsts. It started with breakfast, I made cinnamon crescent rolls. Then started dinner in the crock pot, Beef BBQ. This will be the first time to try this. Fingers are crossed that it turns out as good as it smells, right now. Lastly, I decided to try a new dessert I saw on Pinterest, Chocolate Chip Oreo Brownies.
They start with a layer of chocolate chip cookie dough, then a layer of Oreos, topped off with fudge brownie mix.

They turned out pretty good.  I have a few adjustments for the next time I make them, but still worth the time.  We added a little ice cream to top off the deliciousness. They don't look pretty, but with some ice cream and cholcolate syrup they make the presentation.

As I lay here with my boys watching cartoons on a Saturday morning, I wonder what people are thinking. We just saw a commercial for Squishy Baff. It is for a powered that changes your baff(bath) into slime. Gross! The last time I checked baths were to clean you. I guess people will buy anything.

Crazy Morning

Today we were lucky enough to have no school.  I thought what a great morning to get some more housework done.  I cleaned the kitchen and dinning room before either of my boys were awake.  Well, my 9 month old had other plans.  He decided he was going to make a big mess no matter what he did.  :)

When he was getting his oatmeal this morning he....
Slapped his hand right in the middle of the bowl, sending oatmeal all over himself, the high chair, the floor, and myself.
I cleaned everything up and continued to feed him.
Then he sneezed right after he got a mouth full of oatmeal, sending oatmeal all over himself, the high chair, the floor, the kitchen table, and myself.
I cleaned everything up and continued to feed him.
Then my 5 year old walked around the corner and scared the baby, causing him to jump as I was giving him another mouth full and sending the spoon across the room on to the wall.
So, I previously clean dinning room is now a total wreck!!!

  I LOVE being a mom!!!!

Today my heart broke when my 5 five year old told me, "I'm too big for hugs and kisses." I thought I had more time.

Small Successes

Today was filled with small successes. I am learning to take the joy from the small things in every day. Shall I list my accomplishments of the day? Cleaned the house (thanks hubby and little man), finished my 4th grad class(only 6 to go), made a ton of baby food (the baby will not go hungry), started a house search(this may take a while, but we have started), and started shopping for upcoming vacation (can't wait!). Tomorrow I look forward to a day off work with plans to play with the boys and take a nap. Ai interesting thought from a five year old: 'E' never wanted to eat meat, until we told him he would be short (5ft) like mommy and he wanted to be tall like daddy(6ft 2in) if he didn't eat meat. So, he took this information and ran with it. When we saw a little person he says (way to loud for my comfort) "Look mommy that lady didn't eat her meat when she was a kid. She is LITTLE!"

The Beginning

This is where it all starts... At work today, I was given a challenge to start a blog for an event that starts in March. After some thought, here we are experimenting with a blog. I plan to give it a try.
