Books, Books, Books

This school year, the language arts teachers, decided to challenge the students to read 40 books by the end of the school year.  Since the kids are working on this challenge, I am as well.

The 40 Book Challenge has been an interesting journey.  I am a reader.  My husband has said that, "if there was an Olympic event made for you, it would be reading."  In the beginning of the challenge, I had trouble keeping up or staying on track. Then something happened when I was off work for break then all our lovely snow days, I have picked up that reading love that escaped me at the beginning of the school year.

This book love leaves me empty once I finish a book.  Currently, I am on the search for another book. I am about done with my current book and have almost completed my To Read list.

I thoughts would include a few books I have read recently.

  3. I know what you mean that "The book love leaves me empty once I finish a book." Some books I just want to go on and on, transporting me to far away place. Hope you find your new read soon. I look forward to hearing which one grabs you next.

  4. Good luck with finding books that are a perfect fit for you as well as to get to know the types of books your students might enjoy. I always think it is interesting to consider how reading lives change over time.
